3 new categories added to NIRF rankings this year: Highlights from India Rankings 2024

The Ministry of Education released the NIRF 2024 rankings, the 9th edition, introducing categories for State Public Universities, Skill Universities, and Open Universities. Hindu College, Delhi, and IIM Ahmedabad topped their respective categories. IISc Bengaluru led among universities, with JNU and JMI following. IIT Madras ranked first in engineering and overall categories.
