A 2021 landslide cut Denali’s only road; five years later, a $230M bridge spans the slope

A new bridge now spans the Denali National Park road after a landslide. This $230 million project reconnects the eastern and western road sections. Engineers built a 475-foot steel truss bridge over the unstable moving ground. Hikers and cyclists can now cross the bridge, while bus service resumes in 2027.
