The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has clarified that reports of Mumbai schools and colleges being closed on August 20 due to heavy rainfall are fake. A viral message circulating on social media was dismissed as misinformation. While the IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, a red alert has been declared for Raigad.
