Arunachal assembly passes bill to overhaul teacher transfers, tightens government grip on education

The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly passed the Transfer and Posting of Employees of Education Department Bill, aimed at overhauling teacher postings and reducing legal disputes. Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona highlighted that the law addresses staffing shortages, uneven teacher distribution, and infrastructure gaps, ensuring fair deployment across the state. Future amendments may incorporate legislators’ suggestions to strengthen the system.
