Bengaluru NLSIU students protest lack of amenities in hostel

Students at National Law School of India University in Bengaluru staged a large overnight protest on Tuesday over severe hostel infrastructure gaps and alleged gender-based disparities in accommodation. They cited water shortages, power outages, overcrowded women’s hostels with bunk beds, poor ventilation and insufficient fans. Protesters gathered overnight at the campus basketball court, demanded meeting with the Vice Chancellor, and were instead addressed by the registrar and campus director as discussions continued overnight protest ended.
