Bonalu 2026: Telangana schools likely to remain closed for three days; official update awaited

Schools and educational institutions in Telangana may receive a three-day holiday break from August 8 to August 10 as the second Saturday holiday, Sunday and Bonalu celebrations coincide. August 10 may be declared a local holiday for Rangam observance after an official government notification. The decision is awaited from the Telangana government. If approved, students and teachers in several districts will get an extended weekend during the festival period.
