CBSE allows class 10th Basic Math students to opt for Standard Math in class 11th

CBSE now permits students with Basic Mathematics in Class 10 to opt for Standard Mathematics in Class 11 for the 2025-26 session. This continues a relaxation started during COVID-19. The decision allows greater academic flexibility, especially for those now wanting a stronger math foundation. Principals must ensure students have the aptitude. Once subjects are finalized, no changes are allowed.
