Chennai district has seen a significant improvement in its rankings, moving up to 29th place in 2026 from 34th in 2025. The overall pass percentage rose to 92.34%, with government schools also showing a notable increase to 86.25%. Girls outperformed boys in the examinations, achieving a 94.54% pass rate.
