Congress MP Anto Antony condemned the government's handling of education, stating it is in a "deep crisis" with no budget proposals to improve the situation. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Antony linked the prevailing atmosphere of fear to increased student migration and brain drain. He highlighted India's lack of universities in global top 100 rankings and criticised the government for not addressing these educational challenges. BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, however, defended the Union Budget as revolutionary and dismissed opposition critiques.
