Delhi LG Orders Major Reforms for Coaching Institutes Following UPSC Aspirant Tragedy

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has directed the Chief Secretary to lead a committee to address critical issues in coaching institutes, including exorbitant rents and safety regulations. This follows the deaths of three UPSC aspirants due to flooding. The committee will develop short- and long-term plans to relocate coaching centres to designated areas. Immediate actions include enforcing fire clearances and creating a transparent database for coaching institutes. The LG will review the situation in two weeks.
