FAFSA submissions rise by 50%, US Department of Education introduces new improvements

The US Department of Education has announced over 8 million FAFSA® forms processed for the 2025–26 academic year, marking a 50% increase from last year. The Department also introduced improvements to the FAFSA form to enhance user experience and combat fraud. Additionally, batch corrections for the 2024–25 cycle have been implemented, and preparations for the 2026–27 FAFSA form release are underway, with a public comment period open until April 7, 2025.
