Gujarat schools told to tighten entry rules, restrict photography and protect students’ personal data

The Gujarat government has directed schools to tighten visitor entry rules and restrict unauthorised photography, videography and collection of students’ personal information. Under the October 21 circular, outsiders must obtain prior written permission, while principals can deny entry on security grounds. The instructions also mandate visitor records and prompt reporting of violations to police and education authorities.
