Indian national jailed in Singapore: 46-year-old convicted of assaulting woman; gets 4 years, 6 cane strokes

An Indian national and Singapore permanent resident, Ankit Sharma, has been sentenced to four years in jail and six strokes of the cane for molesting a woman at Changi City Point mall. Sharma was convicted of aggravated outrage of modesty after he dragged the victim into a nursing room and made sexual advances despite her resistance.
