Jamia Millia Islamia forms 7-member committee to address students’ demands amid protests

Jamia Millia Islamia has formed a committee to engage with students protesting for the restoration of the union. Demonstrations intensified after a hunger strike and police interventions on campus occurred recently. The university cited previous disruptions and legal proceedings that led to the union's dissolution in 2006 as reasons for its decision. Students are demanding the restoration of their union and the withdrawal of disciplinary actions against their peers.
