Karnataka scraps late admission penalty fees for PU colleges from 2026-27

Karnataka students will no longer face penalty charges for delayed admissions to government PU colleges. This new policy will take effect starting from the 2026-27 academic session. The government cited misuse of the penalty provision by some educational institutions. Colleges are now directed to strictly adhere to the official admission calendar. This change aims to support economically weaker students in continuing their education.
