Maharashtra hikes veterinary interns’ stipend by 64%, monthly payout raised from Rs 11,000 to Rs 18,000

The Maharashtra government has increased the monthly internship stipend for final-year veterinary students from Rs 11,000 to Rs 18,000, following a state cabinet decision on November 4, 2026. The revised amount will benefit eligible MAFSU students undertaking compulsory internships, with contributions from the state government, ICAR and the university.
