Mumbai police assure student groups of measured action over protest-related FIR concerns

NCP-SP leader Rohit Pawar, Fahad Ahmad and student organisation representatives met the Mumbai Police Commissioner to raise concerns over FIRs registered during recent student protests. AISF representative Aamir Kazi said police assured the delegation that notices and procedures against students would be handled slowly. Police also informed the group that students could respond to summons notices through WhatsApp and visit police stations according to their convenience. Decisions on FIR withdrawal will be taken by the home department.
