National internship portal records approx 5 crore student registrations under AICTE ministry of education initiative

The National Internship Portal under AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India, has expanded large scale internship access across India with 4.7 Crore student registrations, 2.9 Crore verified learners, 79,57,193 internship opportunities and 32,78,900 completed internships. With 81,483 companies and 12,077 colleges onboarded, the platform connects industry and academia across 200 domains. Participation spans emerging skills such as AI/ML, cloud computing and cybersecurity, supporting employability and workforce readiness aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047 goals.
