NCERT Minority Cell reviews school access, dropout rates and teacher training at first meeting of 2026-27

NCERT’s Minority Cell reviewed measures to improve school access, reduce dropout rates and strengthen teacher training at its first meeting of the 2026-27 session in Meghalaya on October 23. Recommendations included NISHTHA and CPD programmes, data collection on minority-run schools and region-specific research. Separately, NCERT’s online Science teaching diploma course will accept registrations until November 12 for a November 16 start.
