NEET UG 2026 sees 96.92% turnout as over 22 lakh candidates appear nationwide

NEET UG 2026 was conducted successfully across India with a 96.92 per cent attendance, as over 22 lakh candidates appeared out of 22.75 lakh registered. The examination was held at more than 5,432 centres in 551 cities and 14 international locations. Over two lakh personnel ensured smooth operations with strict security measures, including biometric verification and CCTV monitoring. Authorities also blocked over 65 Telegram channels to curb misinformation and maintained standardised guidelines at all centres.
