Odisha to amend University Act, confirms higher education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj

The Odisha government plans to amend the Odisha University (Amendment) Act 2020 to align with UGC regulations and address concerns about university autonomy. Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj also announced plans to establish government colleges in districts lacking them and revealed the launch of a new scholarship scheme, replacing the previous NUA-O initiative.
