San Francisco State gets $25M in XRP, one of U.S. higher education's largest crypto gifts

San Francisco State University marked a milestone in April 2019 when it received a transformative $25 million donation, largely comprised of cryptocurrency XRP. This philanthropic gesture enabled the establishment of new resources for the College of Business and resulted in officially renaming it as the Lam Family College of Business. Notably, the donors had already supported the university with over $800,000 in previous contributions.
