San Francisco teachers have ended their first strike in nearly 50 years after reaching a tentative agreement with SFUSD. The deal includes a two-year five per cent pay rise, fully funded family healthcare starting January 2027, protections for immigrant students, and limits on AI replacing teachers. The strike affected 120 schools and 50,000 students. Funding will come partly from a parcel tax, while the district faces a $100 million deficit, pending board and union approval.
