Sonoma State University in $24million budget crisis: 6 departments and dozens of courses axed

Sonoma State University plans to cut six academic departments, discontinue nearly two dozen degree programs, and eliminate its entire Division II athletics program to address a $24 million deficit. More than 60 faculty and staff positions will also be eliminated, impacting students across various disciplines.
