Step to promote Odia under NEP: Odisha Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on IGNOU’s new diploma course launch

Odisha Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj hailed the launch of IGNOU’s Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECE) in Odia, terming it a step under NEP to promote mother-tongue learning. Inaugurated by Deputy CM Pravati Parida, the course has enrolled 31,000 students. IGNOU plans to translate all programmes into Odia within two years.
