UGC Allows Universities to Conduct Own Entrance Exams for Vacant Seats

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that universities can conduct their own entrance exams for undergraduate and postgraduate courses if seats remain vacant after regular admission rounds. This decision aims to ensure no seats go unfilled, allowing more students to access higher education. UGC Chairman, Prof M Jagadesh Kumar, emphasized the importance of utilizing every seat and outlined standard operating procedures for admissions.
