UGC asks colleges and universities to observe BRICS Sustainable Lifestyle Week 2026 from November 1

The UGC has asked universities and colleges to participate in BRICS Sustainable Lifestyle Week 2026 from November 1 to 7 under Mission LiFE. The initiative will focus on seven themes, including energy conservation, water management, sustainable food systems and waste reduction. Institutions must organise campus and community activities, nominate nodal officers and upload their programmes on the Meri LiFE portal. A consolidated activity report must be submitted by November 12, 2026.
