UGC NET expands subject list with Statistics and Forestry ahead of June 2026 exams

UGC NET June 2026: University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the inclusion of Statistics and Forestry as new subjects in the National Eligibility Test (NET) from the June 2026 session, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Decision, approved in the 597th Commission meeting expert committee recommendations, aims to expand academic disciplines for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship eligibility. Syllabi for subjects have been released online, enabling candidates to prepare for updated examination requirements in higher education institutions.
