UK Magic Circle to honour woman thrown out for 'masqueradeing' as man

Sophie Lloyd will be welcomed back to the Magic Circle. She was expelled for posing as a man in 1991. Laura London, the society's first female chair, located Lloyd. The society will present her with a membership certificate. Lloyd's deception involved Jenny Winstanley. Winstanley aimed to prove women magicians were equal to men.
