West Bengal schools to begin summer vacation early from April 30 due to rising heat and humidity

West Bengal Education Department will advance summer vacation in state-run schools to April 30 due to rising temperatures and humidity, announces Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Instead of starting in mid-May, the break will now begin for primary, secondary, and higher secondary institutions earlier to protect students from increasing heat, with temperatures already reaching 34.4 degrees Celsius.
