Over 4 lakh CBSE Class 12 students requested scanned answer books in 2026, Govt tells Rajya Sabha

Nearly one in four students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 board examinations in 2026 requested scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets, the Centre informed the Rajya Sabha. The government also revealed that over 1.68 lakh candidates sought verification or re-evaluation, while CBSE reduced post-result fees and introduced refunds for students whose marks increased after re-evaluation.
